was bloghopping and came across yours. just saw your first entry and thought i'd comment and let you know that if you are malaysian and you plan to vote on may 5th (or was it 6th?)... you had better not... because it is against your consitution to vote in another country... you may be exiled if the authorities find out! am spreading the word!
xora, is that true? Even if so I don't think it would be a problem. Many Malaysians here vote because we have been provided with the rights as a commonwealth citizen to do so.
And I never voted in any Malaysia election so far... ;)
xar, yes, we want a labour govt minus Tony, Charles and some other guys like Jack and Geoff. Patricia can go too.all
yes i know that many Malaysians vote because of the commonwealth citizen claim... but after january 1977 we do not have the right... see part 3 chapter 2 (termination of citizenship) paying attention to article 25.
ignorance is not an excuse for not knowing the law. that's the problem most people have these days don't you think? i am on a quest to educate malaysians to love their country and learn their rights! care to join me?
Aww... Xora.. come on... there is something really wrong with something called Governments, you know...
They each want to protect themselves, at the same time, showing a farce, saying : hey, we embrace globalization....yadda yadda...
Stupidity, if you ask me. No, I'm not an arnachist. Patriotism is yet another farce, just another way of saying : PLEASE STAY IN THIS COUNTRY! meh... with this kind of attitude, I can't wait to see what should happen to planet Earth if there really are intelligent life forms out there. I certainly do hope humans and earth get destroyed :D
:D
And, I don't mind if Mr. Blair wins. Should he win, he would be helping Mr. Bush again. Goody... how nice :D
Ah...xora...I am not pleading ignorance...but laws are not meant to be followed, just bent to suit ones need. Just ask those law 'enforcers' in Malaysia...
If the gomen wants me to be stateless then so be it... The government has been stripping people of their right for far to long...
As for whether I will actually vote May 5th we will see. But I won't join your quest to 'educate' people.
