When I received my new laptop a few weeks ago I went on to install some of my favourite apps. One of which is Tweetdeck, a desktop client I swear by of which if it never existed I would be tweeting far less.
Unfortunately Tweetdeck has replaced the brilliant old Adobe Air version with a native app, that frankly sucks, to put it politely. It was slow, the UI was horrible - just about everything about it was awful. To make matters worse, Tweetdeck (now owned by Twitter), has removed any references and installer to the old Adobe Air version.
Fortunately a quick digging on the internet reveals that someone has uploaded the Adobe Air version on Mediafire for posterity's sake. The version is 0.38.2, which as far as I know is the last version before Tweetdeck pulled the plug on it. Go download it now, and be assured that you are running a superior and far more productive version of Tweetdeck.

thanks, fingers crossed it works.
Thanks for posting. I too share the same thoughts about Tweetdeck. Twitter backed Tweetdeck is awful and I too wanted the old Tweetdeck on my laptop after reinstalling the OS, the same thing that I used to use before the HDD fried.
Googled and found your post and thankfully found the download link for the older Adobe Air supported version.
Keep it up.
Cheers!
Thanks for the download link! I have old tweetdeck now
Thank you! I already have the old Tweetdeck on my Linux machine, but I am grateful to be able to have it on my Windows laptop as well.
Thank you! I already have the old BEST Tweetdeck on my Linux machine, but I am grateful to have it on my new Windows laptop as well.
Just a bump to say thanks for the info. I couldn't figure out why tweetdeck on my new laptop was so sucky, because I had loved using it (the air version) on older machines. Problem: Solved.
Cool product gets acquired by big player, gets reengineered, and now sucks.
Did you mean, posterity's sake? Maybe prosperity also, if your business depends on social media ;)
Well whoops. I don't work in social media tho...
It seems, that it's not working anymore. What a pity! :( I have been using that version for a long time and I think, that it was the best Twitter client I have ever seen.
What client do you use instead now? Actual Twitter's TweetDeck or another?
