Hi there,

I am a silent reader of your blog. Am very interested to be doing the walk you did here at Chiltern Hills. I tried looking for travel information to get to this place by train with no success. Reason being I don't know which is the right stop to get to in Buckingshire.

Could you kindly provide me the info via email.

Btw, I am a Malaysian living in London since 2003. Appreciate if you can hook me up as I plan to do more outdoor activities just like you and your partner.

Regards,
Kym

Hi Kym.

This very walk was from Berkhamsted railway station towards Ashridge Forest then to Tring station via Aldbury village. It is a 10km walk and takes about 2 1/2-3 hours. There are plenty of routes around and all are well marked. My suggestion is to start at the National Trust visitor centre at the Ashridge Estate where plenty of nice walks begins and ends.

The Chiltern Hills is quite large and we have only done bits and bobs of it. Amersham and Chesham is worth a visit and can be reached via the Met Line. Some walking routes are available here.

You are more than welcome to e-mail me (address on the righ column) if you need more info.
